Here are 5 simple yet helpful keyboard shortcuts available to users in Windows 10 & 11 that go beyond just your typical cut/copy/paste:

1. Win + E will open the File Explorer.

2. Win + D shows the desktop.

3. Win + PrtSc will save a screenshot that will save to C:\Users\username\Pictures\Screenshots

4. Win + I opens Settings.

5. Ctrl + Shift + Esc opens the Task Manager directly.

Installing and updating Linux Mint 22 on a client’s spare laptop to let them try daily driving it for a while. That way they can see if it suits their use case and workflow.

Further Adventures In Editing:

So apparently I made a big mistake in trying to use DaVinci Resolve. It’s taking me forever to learn and figure out.

Just found out I have an easier option, since my videos are just going to be super basic with some voiceover and captions, CapCut is going to be super beginner friendly. So now to download that and import my raw footage over there to continue!

It’s times like these I envy larger creators who can hire editors, lol! 😂

Still working on editing that battery replacement video. Found out I chose the wrong editing software and a good chunk of functionality is locked behind a paywall.

Looks like DaVinci Resolve should have everything I need for this, as I need to be able to do a voiceover track because I had SO much background noise.

Such is life when you’re a beginner with this type of content, lol.

Currently working on editing a short repair video on how to easily replace the battery in a PlayStation 4 controller.

It’s super easy and all you need is a Philips head screwdriver, a couple of guitar picks (really), and a small flat head screwdriver.

Just a fun filled day of testing why a PC blue screens. In this case, looks like 1 or more RAM modules are going bad, but that’s to be expected in a gaming rig that runs virtually nonstop for multiple years, lol.

Customer reported issues with their laptop's cracked screen. They have agreed to allow me to share progress photos to document and track the repair and upgrade process.

Laptop is an HP Pavilion 15-n225nr TouchSmart running Windows 8.1.

Repairs:
Replace glass bezel and LCD Touchscreen.
(Note: LCD Touchscreen undamaged, working, recovered successfully.

Upgrades:
Increase RAM from 8GB to 16GB
Replace HDD with SSD and clone data for backup
Replace stock OS (Windows 8.1) with Linux Mint
