Welcome at last little one!

Finally got to meet you baby! It took a little longer than we expected, but welcome earthside!

And look at that Momma looking more awake and alive than her midwife after a 30 hour labor🤣 mothers are amazing!
Thank you both for taking this picture and sharing it with me!

So glad to be a part of this great group of women!

There are 5 birth centers that are owned by ETMA midwives.
Rose City Birth Center Embrace Birth Center The Birth Suite Births Northeast Texas Midwifery Blessed JOY Midwifery
(Tyler, Longview, Gun Barrell City, Sulpher Springs, Canton, Mt Pleasant)
There is also another licensed birth center in Tyler - Azalea Birth

A licensed birth center will have a ... well you guessed it: A License :) - to display on the wall. If you would like to verify a license, you can search your birth center of choice here:
https://vo.ras.dshs.state.tx.us/datamart/login.do

And every location must have its own license!

To allow for accidental office births, any center that has more than 2 births a year or advertises themselves as a place of birth, MUST have a license. A birth center must also comply with the laws regulating it under the Health and Safety Code.

Birth Center Basics:
Must offer drinks; packaged snacks are optional.
Clean, SAFE environment for clients and staff. It should have beds, furniture, linens and the necessities for care.
Hand-washing stations with soap and water required.
At least 2 sinks and 1 toilet.
Emergency lighting and a fire/disaster plan are required.

Birth Center laws are in addition to midwifery laws which oversee the prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum care for mom and baby.
