Texas PUC adopts softened rules on data center interconnection The Public Utility Commission of Texas backed off the standards it proposed in March, eliminating a non-refundable interconnection fee and extending energization milestone deadlines.

This is happening for a multitude of reasons. All at once everything else has become less affordable including food, housing, property taxes, gas, utilities, healthcare and the everyday necessities it takes to live these days.

Living in Texas has become unaffordable, housing costs are through the roof. We also have a lot of low-wage employment, job loss and a myriad of factors that can push a typically working household into food insecurity quicker than you might think!

So what do we do about it?

We have to make Texas affordable for working people again. That means breaking up the monopolies and corporate middlemen that have too much control over our food system, we need to strengthening local food supply chains and family farms, creating better-paying jobs and protecting Texans from rising utility costs.

Then the Governor and the Texas legislature need to give Texas better access to more affordable healthcare, so that getting sick doesn’t force a family to choose between a medical bill and putting food on the table!

I believe this raises SERIOUS questions about our privacy rights, invasive personal surveillance and our Fourth Amendment protection!

Police in Washington, D.C., NYC and the DPS in Texas have ALL purchased surveillance technology from Israel that can mimic cell towers and gather data from ANY phone nearby, yes including YOURS, just as an innocent person standing on the street.

The DPS is saying that the spy like equipment is only being used for search and rescue. Do you believe that? I seriously want to know your thoughts.
