It was a really busy afternoon on Day 3. We made a stop by the Supreme Court and then headed for the Basicilia of the National Shrine. We then got a special tour of the National Archives before finishing the evening off with a walk around the Tidal Basin and some souvenir shopping. One more day of some sights before heading home Wednesday night.

One of our favorite traditions on this trip is to finish off the ghost tour with some gelato before heading back to the hotel. That’s a wrap for day 2. Tomorrow we will be heading to the Capital for our tour.

We spent the afternoon at Mt. Vernon learning more about Washington and life in the late 1700s in Virginia. We have one more stop tonight, the always popular Ghost Tour.
