1 Kings 18:20–39

Israel wanted God and compromise. Worship and worldliness. Truth and comfort.

But Elijah asks:

“How long will you go limping between two different opinions?”

This Sunday we will see that:
God’s presence does not fall on divided altars.

This Sunday, we begin a brand new series called “Pursuing His Presence.”

Our first message, “More Than Knowledge,” will come from Proverbs 1–2 as we walk through a powerful truth:

We do not merely need more information about God — we need the presence of God in our lives.

In a world filled with noise, opinions, content, and constant distraction, many people still feel spiritually dry, anxious, and distant from God. Why? Because knowledge alone cannot satisfy the soul.

This Sunday we will see from Proverbs 2 that:

* desperation leads us to seek God,
* prayer positions us before God,
* and the presence of God brings wisdom, protection, and hope.

If you’ve been hungry for something deeper than routine religion…
If you’ve been longing for peace, direction, or renewed closeness with the Lord…
If you’ve been going through the motions spiritually…

Over the next three weeks, we are going to walk through Scripture together and see God calling His people beyond shallow religion and into wholehearted pursuit of Him. These messages will focus on prayer, surrender, repentance, revival, and the life-changing presence of God.
