Our Buckner foster care staff and a foster family attended the Fostering Collective Banquet featuring a concert by Shane & Shane, recognizing the efforts of Heart Gallery. The Fostering Collective exists to recruit and shepherd Christ-centered families in East Texas to help children in foster care.

Dads, you are the first male influencer in your child's life. Your baby will learn from you throughout his childhood. Parenting can be hard, especially when you are becoming a first-time father. Parenting can also become difficult if you are facing other life challenges that are negatively impacting your family.

Kinship care allows children to be placed with relatives after being removed from the home. Kinship care is always the first choice because it is proven that kids have better success rates when they are with people they know. Kinship care also allows foster parents to receive financial help, resources, community, and more so that they can care for the children. So often families walk this road alone.
