Making A Difference: One Student At A Time!

Photos from Longview ISD's post 06/15/2026

Big growth. Big results. Big pride. 📈🔥💚 Our students showed strong progress on the 2026 STAAR EOC assessments, outgrowing the state in 4 out of 5 Meets+ areas and matching the state’s growth in Biology.

Our Lobos also outperformed the state in all 5 Approaches+ EOC assessments, including Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and U.S. History.

These results reflect the hard work of our students, teachers, campus leaders, and families. We are proud of our students and proud of the progress happening across our district.

Way to go, Lobos! 💚🐺

The first visible step toward a new and improved dining experience at Longview High School is now underway!🏗️💚

Crews have begun demolition of the existing cafeteria, marking the start of a major renovation and expansion project funded through the district's 2024 bond program - the cafeteria project being one of several improvements included in the district's long-range facilities plan.

The new space will focus on student comfort, increased capacity, improved traffic flow, and a more welcoming atmosphere. Early design concepts included expanded seating areas, greater access to natural light, and flexible dining spaces that can accommodate the needs of a growing student population.

While demolition marks the beginning of a new chapter, the project represents months of planning and collaboration among district administrators, architects, construction teams, and campus leaders. The renovation is intended to transform one of the busiest spaces on campus into a modern gathering place that supports both daily operations and the overall student experience.

📚 Attention LHS Families! Interested in Dual Credit Courses? 🎓

As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, we want to make sure our students are set up for success! If your student is planning to take Dual Credit or college-level courses, they will need to take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI) this summer.

What is the TSI?
It’s a state-required assessment that ensures students are ready for college-level reading, writing, and math so they can successfully earn high school and college credits at the same time!

Review the information carefully with your student so they don't miss out on these summer testing opportunities. If you have any questions, please reach out to the campus using the contact info listed on the flyer.

Thank you for your continued support! Let's get ready for a great year ahead! ✨

The Class of 2026 has officially left its mark on the future Career and Technical Education Center. 🏗️💚

Just weeks after seniors signed a steel beam during a special ceremony, that beam was installed last Friday inside the new Career & Technical Education Center.

Earlier this spring, students filled the beam with handwritten messages, names, and memories, creating a piece of Longview High School history that will now live permanently inside the new building.

As construction continues, the signed beam serves as a powerful reminder of the pride, perseverance, and legacy of the Class of 2026.

Once a Lobo, always a Lobo.
