Today, on National Black Voter Day, we recognize the power of informed, prepared, and engaged participation in our democracy.

Every eligible voter deserves the information and opportunity to cast a ballot with confidence. Register or verify your voter registration, learn your state’s voting requirements and deadlines, review what will appear on your ballot, and make a plan to vote.

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month!

This month, we raise awareness and stand with individuals and families impacted by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

🩸 What is Sickle Cell?
Sickle Cell is an inherited blood disorder that causes normally round red blood cells to become hard, sticky, and “sickle” shaped. Some individuals live with Sickle Cell Disease, while others carry the Sickle Cell Trait.

🩸Who is affected?
Sickle Cell disproportionately affects people of African descent and is also found among individuals with ancestry from the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, and other regions.

🩸 Why does awareness matter?
Sickle Cell can cause severe and chronic pain, anemia, reduced oxygen flow, organ damage, and painful episodes known as sickle cell crises. Treatments have continued to advance and may include medications, blood transfusions, stem cell transplantation, and newer gene therapies.

There is still more work to be done to increase awareness, expand access to treatment, and support continued research toward better treatments and cures.

❤️ We honor the warriors. We remember those we’ve lost. We continue spreading awareness.

Twenty-five years ago, September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. Today we pause to honor the lives lost at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and to remember the bravery of the first responders and service members, including our own sorors, who answered the call.

We will never forget the actions of that day and the impact on our nation. We carry forward the memories of the lives lost, honoring their legacy through how we choose to live and serve.

We proudly recognize the workers whose talent, dedication, and service strengthen our communities and help move our nation forward. This , we celebrate their impact and our commitment to advancing equity, opportunity, and respect in the workplace.
