On 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟐, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 came together with purpose, passion, and an unwavering commitment to public service to charter the 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 𝑨𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒏𝒂𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 of 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐈𝐧𝐜.

For 54 years, their vision has flourished through scholarship, sisterhood, service, and social action—impacting generations throughout the Longview community and beyond. Because of their courage and dedication, our chapter continues to uplift, empower, and inspire while remaining steadfast in our mission.

Today, we proudly honor our Charter Members, celebrate the legacy they established, and recommit ourselves to the principles that have guided our chapter since its inception.

May we continue to build upon the strong foundation they laid, ensuring that our service and sisterhood remain a beacon of hope for generations to come.

What an incredible morning of community, unity, and celebration as participants came together to run, walk, and honor the enduring legacy of Juneteenth. From seasoned runners to first-time participants, the event showcased the power of coming together in remembrance of our history while embracing a healthier future.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Longview Juneteenth Committee, volunteers, sponsors, law enforcement officers, and every participant who helped make this inaugural event a success. Your support and enthusiasm helped create a meaningful experience for all.
