June is National Safety Month, a time to come together and emphasize the importance of safety in the workplace and the environments we serve. At Pacific Northern Environmental, our commitment to safety begins and ends with our employees’ dedication to protecting one another, our customers, and the communities we work in through training, education, and site-specific preparation. Throughout the month, we will be highlighting important safety topics including advancing a culture of safety, roadway safety, holistic worker health, and preventing slips, trips, and falls. Safety is not just a priority at PNE—it is part of the foundation of everything we do.

Yesterday’s tragedy at Nippon has left a deep impact on our entire community, and our hearts are with every employee, family member, friend, and first responders affected by this devastating event. Words cannot fully capture the sorrow and weight that so many throughout Longview and the surrounding communities are feeling right now. In moments like these, we are reminded how important it is to come together, support one another, and stand beside those who are hurting. We continue to keep all those impacted in our thoughts and are grateful for the strength, compassion, and unity this community continues to show during such a difficult time. Longview is a strong community, and we will continue to stand together.

The Advanced Electrical Technologies and Cowlitz Clean Sweep teams came together for a well-earned lunch, sharing a great meal, plenty of laughs, and even better company. Moments like these highlight the strength of our teams and the culture we’re building across PNE and its multi-industry brands.

Another look at our recent VFD upgrade at a local sawmill—where performance, precision, and reliability all come together in the panel shop and in the field. Featured on Episode 3 of The Morning Current, the AET team recently tackled a critical high-voltage issue at a paper mill in Raymond, Washington—isolating a 1200-amp switch and transformer in full arc flash gear and resolving the fault late into the evening to minimize downtime. This work showcases AET’s industrial electrical expertise in power distribution, switchgear troubleshooting, and mission-critical support that keeps facilities operating smoothly. Combined with our ongoing electrical foundation installation for the mill’s major expansion project, AET continues to deliver reliable solutions that support large-scale industrial growth.
