🥗 Foods can either support recovery—or make symptoms harder to manage.
After a brain injury, many survivors experience challenges with inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, headaches, mood changes, and sleep disturbances. While nutrition isn’t a cure, reducing certain foods may help create a healthier environment for healing.
Focus on progress, not perfection. Small changes made consistently can add up over time.
Which dietary change has made the biggest difference in your recovery journey?

The “invisible injury” is logic that everyone can understand. Part of spreading awareness is setting boundaries and saying when enough is enough. Saying “you look fine to me” to someone with a diagnosed TBI is not smart, about as ignorant as it gets, and really shouldn’t be tolerated in polite society in this day and age anymore. 💪🏻🧠❤️

Functional neurology takes a whole-body approach to brain injury recovery — focusing on how the brain, nervous system, balance, vision, cognition, and movement all work together. 🧠⚡️
After a brain injury, disrupted neural pathways can affect everything from memory and focus to coordination and emotional regulation. Functional neurology aims to stimulate and retrain these pathways through individualized therapies designed to improve brain function and overall quality of life.
Recovery is complex.
Education matters.
Hope matters.
Every brain injury journey is different — but understanding your options can empower your recovery.

What if the brain could be coached back toward balance after a traumatic brain injury? đź§
Our newest blog post explores the emerging science of neurofeedback for TBI survivors — a non-invasive therapy that uses real-time brainwave feedback to help the brain self-regulate and potentially improve attention, memory, emotional regulation, sleep, and more.
Inside the article:
• What neurofeedback actually is
• How sessions work
• What current research says
• Real-world case studies
• Why this therapy is gaining attention in brain injury recovery communities
Recovery is not always linear. But new therapies continue to open new conversations around healing, neuroplasticity, and hope.

Brain injury doesn’t just affect the body — it affects the mind.
During Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s important to recognize that many TBI survivors are fighting battles you can’t see. Depression, anxiety, emotional changes, and identity loss are not uncommon — they’re part of the neurological impact of brain injury.
This is not weakness. This is brain health.
If you’re struggling, you are not alone. And if you know someone who is — your understanding matters more than you think.
Let’s bring awareness to the invisible side of brain injury. đź§

Frontal lobe damage is one of the most common — and most misunderstood — effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
It doesn’t just impact memory…
It can change personality, emotions, decision-making, and behavior.
Many survivors are judged for symptoms they can’t control.
This isn’t a character flaw.
It’s a brain injury.
Understanding this is how we build better support, better recovery, and more compassion.

Psychedelics are no longer just a controversial topic—they’re becoming a serious area of research in brain injury recovery.
Early studies suggest these compounds may help increase neuroplasticity, reduce depression, and support emotional healing—all critical challenges after a traumatic brain injury.
But this isn’t a DIY solution. These therapies must be approached carefully, legally, and under medical supervision.
The science is still evolving… but the potential is hard to ignore.
🧠Healing the brain may require new approaches.
And this could be one of them.
