She’s calling us home…just a week away and we will be back home to the farmhouse for the season. Feeling very ready to get back to our old girl. The crazy before and after photos of this area are over in stories.

Our mighty little farmhouse bathroom. Added sometime along the way of our old girls history. Although hard to photograph because of size you will find some photos over on stories sharing her changes.

The day we removed the closet 🐁 in the farmhouse was the day I could put this amazing wood locker in its place. We found it in the fields of Warrenton/Round Top…it was a keeper the minute I saw it. The before and after photos of our farmhouse bedroom are over in stories.

Many a meal has been shared around this table at the farmhouse. With only a few changes it was transformed into a room we love to hang out in. The before and after photos are over in stories. Oh…and just two more weeks before we head to our old girl in Texas.

We are leaving for the farmhouse about 7 weeks later than normal for us. Counting the days before I can settle in and get bread baked, meals served and pies whipped up for dessert in my favorite kitchen ever. I’ll share some before and after pics over in stories. The changes I made in the kitchen are my favorite.

This view of sunlight right here is what drew me in the first day we saw her. Counting the days…a long 18 of them…before we leave for the farmhouse. I can’t help it…but this old girl just speaks to my heart. I’ll put up a few before and after photos in my stories so we can all reminisce.

Just over here at the town condo waiting around for mid February to arrive so we can finally get back to the farmhouse. Somehow January feels like it’s sticking around far too long. Just sayin’.
PS…if you zoom in you’ll see the fabric I chose for the new window coverings also due to arrive a few days before we leave. There was a bit of a snafu with the Shade Store but they’ve been kind enough to fix it.

I’m always pleasantly surprised when memories pop up here on Instagram…this one came up yesterday from . If y’all have been around for awhile you’ll remember the 2016 shoot of our beach house when we lived in Southern California. It appeared in the April 2017 issue. Having their crew in our home for those few days was one of my greatest joys while having Junk Style design. To have one’s home worthy of a magazine spread still amazes me to this very day. All those pieces have since sold and I still miss that table…but that was the life of a vintage dealer…pieces came and went. Funny how I can write that in the past tense now and not tear up. ♥️

Spring has sprung at the town condo…and I do love some hyacinths. We still have quite the wait before we can head to the farmhouse…February 19th…so there’s that.

It’s been almost a year since the farmhouse has had snow. In reflection…2025 was quite the year for and myself and I’d like to THANK YOU for hanging in there with us as we navigated a new way of life after 17 years. We set up at our last vintage market in January at the Big Red Barn and closed the book on my beloved Junk Style design, emptied the warehouse, sold both of our condos in California, purchased a new condo in Northern California…and I’m happy to say, that we are still standing. Looking forward to relaxing and reflecting in the new year…and getting back to the farmhouse. Happy New Year you guys!!

Almost a year ago we closed the book on Junk Style design. Even though I’m not out buying for y’all on a regular basis I still feel joy in visiting thrift shops, flea markets, small antique shops and the fields of Round Top. Yesterday while out and about, much to my surprise, I found 7 Homer Laughlin platers and this lead Angel candle holder. I really didn’t “need” either item but that didn’t stop me from realizing they needed a place in my home…and that’s what happens when vintage still speaks to your heart.
(See yesterday’s stories for a glimpse of the platters)
