The CSULB-TEFL Professional Training Program is offered by the American Language Institute, located
Opportunities are expanding throughout the world in the field of Teaching English as a Foreign Language. If you are interested in living and working abroad, you need qualifications beyond a four-year college degree. This course is designed to prepare you to be an English instructor in a variety of settings around the world. Our program covers the latest in learning theory and teaching methodology with an emphasis on their practical applications in the classroom.

Dr. Layla Bahar Al-Aloom, an instructor with the American Language Institute since 2011, was recently honored with the Outstanding Teacher Leader Award from the California Language Teachers' Association. We are two weeks in to our Summer 2020 program! TEFLers have taught one lesson, observed two ESL classes, and are prepping for lesson number two. Up next week: webinars on the JET program and teaching children.
