Shannon Wynne
Shannon's number one love in life is singing, from Broadway showtunes and rock classics to current pop hits.
She has been performing from a very young age, in and around Southern California and New York City in various productions and cabaret stages.
The Garage Theatre has its annual melodrama up and running through the holiday season, featuring yours truly! After an almost 3 year hiatus I am so glad to be back on stage doing what I love. ❤️ ✨🎭

Let’s show this new year what we’re made of 👊🏻✨🥂💕

Ok, December. Very bittersweet since at the end of Thanksgiving week I made the very difficult decision to move back home to California. For a little over two weeks as I packed, shipped, and donated I went around the city to take in as much of the holiday atmosphere as I could. Saw my favorite decor, went to the official Bloomingdales display opening, tried a few viral treats and ate at some places I had hoped to try but never got around to all this time. So glad that I finally did before I said one last goodbye early the morning or the 16th as I lugged my entire set of suitcases down to the Uber and out to the bag check for half of them at JFK. As much as I hated to have to leave, I’m actually glad to be back home for a while. With all the drastic changes I made this year and the rough patches that came with them, now was probably the best time for me to reassess what is best for me and my family who have done nothing but support me and make way too many sacrifices to do so. We all need this break from New York for now- maybe once I have what I need to really be independent again, that story will start again.
For now, I’m glad to be right here.

2024- a two part recap:
•lots of self tapes, but I really went for character aesthetic with Mean Girls 📖🩷
•snow came in late January but was gone within a week❄️
•Mom came to visit and we crossed the Brooklyn Bridge together! 🌉
•saw Kimberly Akimbo thanks to a friend and former classmate on staff at the Booth ✨
•sang at Broadway Sessions for a second time 🎤🎶
•decked out my very own Easter bonnet for the annual walk down 5th Ave 🌸💐👒
•squeezed in a lot of in studio auditions, from early mornings to waiting throughout the afternoons hoping to be seen 🎭
• Quit my teaching job to go for what I really want! No pic of that but it’s a day I don’t think I’ll ever forget anyway.
•lots of mixed emotions followed, but then Motley Crue was back in the city for a one night only club show! Jumped at the opportunity and had a blast, even mingled a bit preshow with some of their wives!
•a few rough weeks followed looking for new work while keeping my 2nd part time job. No pic for that obviously.
•Another moment of light when I was offered to take a friend’s ticket to Lempicka! The 3rd to last performance! Practically in the front row watching Eden in all her extraordinary might 🌟 she will never stop being one of my biggest inspirations 💕
That’s barely halfway through the whole year!

What a life, what a career. Linda showed us what it really means to love the work 🤍 I was so lucky to witness it firsthand for a single night at Birdland. Then having to follow her soon after?! Can’t even begin to say how intimidating that was! But at the end of the night I went right up to Linda and we shared words briefly and she wished me the best for my future. I’ll never forget that. No matter how big or small, I’ll keep loving the work. Thank you Ms. Lavin.

From Thursday morning to Thursday night, a much needed evening out with Broadway Sings Queen with various talent showcasing their own unique renditions of the classic hits 🤘🏻🖤 of course no Queen show is complete without Constantine’s Bohemian Rhapsody 💙 also after so long finally met and saw Tyce Green perform, and we had a great conversation that I really needed to hear after the rocky road I have been on these last few months.
Still so grateful for all the opportunities this city keeps giving me after 3 years, and I know there’s still plenty more to come. ☺️

5th anniversary celebration for Off Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors with a special performance and Times Square installation of its very own Audrey II 🌱🩸 Closest I’ve have been to her since I puppeteered for her myself back in a 2013 production. A huge gathering of cast alumni were there to join in the special day! It was so fun to get a taste 😉 of and ‘s Audrey and Seymour before they depart the production on the 29th. Also great to see again; hope I can make it to see him play Seymour on his dates coming up next month! And also met for the first time after having some on off interactions on social media. While Little Shop is his first major theatre job he’s had quite the decades long career- you might have seen him play a rodent steamboat captain among others on or grew up with him as the one and only Bear in the Big Blue House! And now he has his very own solo r***e is set to open in March ✨
Most amazing of all tho was seeing composer right there in person for the festivities 🥹 so many of us including myself have been touched by his music throughout the years from stage to screen. Probably the most special of all, in attendance on behalf of his late collaborator/lyricist Howard Ashman were his sister Sarah and his life partner Bill. What a way to pay tribute to one of the most beloved musical comedies that will forever have a special place in my heart 💚

If I hadn't been able to start my AADA journey on their Los Angeles campus, there is no way I'd be here in New York right now. This school gave me new passion and confidence in myself as an actor that I hadn't before. More generations to come need a place like AADA to make those discoveries within themselves.
