It's time for the summer season Bay Shore Avenue closure! Bay Shore Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning next weekend, June 15th through September 15th (9 AM - 5 PM) per Long Beach City municipal code 10.38.100.

This leaves the street open for 🚲 biking, 🛴 scooting, 🛼 skating, and 🚶🏾‍♀️walking all summer long!

Happy Earth Month 🌎 🌴 Long Beach! There is still time to submit an application for our new E-Bike Lending Library Pilot Program! You could be selected as one of the 35 residents who get to be a part of the first wave to rent an E-Bike from the city's E-Bike Lending Library Pilot Program. Examples of duties:
Investigates the need for installation or modernization of traffic signals and for regulatory and warning signs, left turn or right turn only or permit signs, and pavement markings to help channelize traffic
Plans the placement of signs to limit parking
Prepares diagrams and scale drawings of street conditions
Requests traffic counts, interviews interested persons, and obtains accident data and other information from office files
Compiles and analyzes data
