One of the first major projects to come out of AM Sound Recording was my personal album, a solo album called "Fly By Wire" recorded exclusively here at the studio. Eleven songs were recorded from March to early August 2016, pared down to nine songs for the official release. It is an acoustic-based pop rock album in the style of The Decemberists and Bright Eyes, with a little Big Star and M. Ward thrown in. Released March 2017 to streaming and download services. Official release coming August 2017.

It has been a very long time since I posted anything here, but by no means have I been quiet. Since last year three great records (an EP) have come out of the halls of AM Sound Recording from Manuel The Band, Alpha Particles, and Allen Morris, with some other projects waiting in the wings. But what I really wanted to say is that it's an exciting time to be an independent studio in a time that people can produce, record, and release their art independently, and as technology increases our connection with each other and the outside world, we can continue to foster and support a growing art community. Speaking of community, let's collaborate!
