A lot of us don’t talk about it, but we all have ways of avoiding what we’re really dealing with:

Stress, Pressure, Emotions.

Instead of facing it, we distract or push it down. This Men’s Mental Monday, we’re having a real conversation about coping vs escapism and what it looks like to deal with things in a healthier way. In collaboration with Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA), this workshop will give you real tools, real insight, and a space to be honest without judgment.

Monday, April 6 | 4PM–6PM
Peterson Hall 1 – Room 223

To the Youth who March Onward and Upward 🙌🏾

The 2026 Youth STEAM Summit was more than a college tour, it was a moment where the next generation stepped into possibility. The Long Beach Alphas, came together to pour into our youth and reinforce a simple but powerful message: Go to High School. Go to College. 📚

Through collaboration with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Theta Upsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter, CSULB Upward Bound, and the Port of Long Beach, we created an environment where curiosity was encouraged and innovation came to life. From hands-on STEM activities to creative expression and leadership development, students were able to see themselves in spaces they’re destined to thrive in.

With 12 engaging workshops, including: AI-focused sessions, LEGO STEM builds, music, technology, and self-advocacy, students didn’t just participate, they immersed themselves.

Our keynote speaker, Bro. Dr. Frederick Grady, MD, left attendees with insight and motivation, while the resource fair opened doors to new opportunities and pathways.

Events like these remind us of our mission:
