⛪️ Churches, we invite you to join us in making a lasting impact in our community!

The Long Beach Rescue Mission is seeking local church partners who are passionate about serving and sharing God’s love through outreach ministry.

Together, we can bring hope, encouragement, and practical support to those experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Whether through volunteer service, community engagement, outreach events, or prayerful partnership, your church can help transform lives and strengthen our community.

If your church is ready to answer the call to serve, we’d love to connect with you!

📩 Contact our Volunteer Program Coordinator, Noelle Marshall, to learn more about partnership opportunities, at [email protected] or (562) 592-1292 Ext. 116

God bless!

✨ Women of Lydia House ✨

Today, the women of Lydia House learned the art of proper table etiquette and place settings. More than learning where each fork and spoon belongs, we were reminded that how we carry ourselves matters.

As women of faith, we believe that “all things should be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40). From the table to our daily lives, order, grace, and excellence reflect the God we serve.

We are proud of these women for embracing opportunities to grow in confidence, dignity, and life skills. Every lesson learned is another step toward the future God has prepared for them.

💜 Growing in grace.
💜 Walking in purpose.
💜 Doing all things decently and in order.

“Dinner on Me Celebration!”

It was a joyful evening here in the dining kitchen of LBRM, as we celebrated Leo’s 6th Birthday, through our “Dinner on Me” program!

This meaningful celebration and delicious meal were generously sponsored by Leo’s parents, Supatcharee, (mysippycup.com) and Robert, bringing a special blessing to our residents, guests, and community this past weekend.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors for choosing to celebrate Leo’s Birthday with us while supporting the individuals we serve.

Thank you!
Happy Birthday, Leo, from all of us at LBRM 🎉✨

If you would like to learn more about participating in our “Dinner on Me” program to celebrate and honor of a loved one, please contact Lynda Peluso, Development Supervisor:

Good morning, everyone,

I’m asking for prayer as we had a terrible accident at the job site for the Lydia House expansion. Last night an electrical subcontractor was killed when a trench he was working in collapsed. Two others were injured. Please pray for his family, for the contractors, and for our staff who witnessed the aftermath of the accident and emergency services.

There are times when I just don’t understand God’s purposes and yet I know that I can trust Him...we can trust Him.

It’s difficult to hold both grief and loss with the urgency of getting this project completed. This family will be forever changed and the pain they feel can be unbearable. And there are women and children sleeping in their cars around the mission desperately waiting for an opening at the shelter.

Pray that God would give us the wisdom and grace to hold all that this situation brings us.

I am incredibly grateful for your partnership in this work and pray for you also as I know we can’t do what we do without you.

It is with deep gratitude that we give a special shout-out and thanks to the YMCA for volunteering at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Two organizations with specific visions of uplifting the community is a powerful collaboration. It truly takes the unity of a village to make a difference in our society.

It is always a privilege to have organizations come to support and interact with our residents. This makes for a positive and memorable day. In addition, moments like these inspire others to continue to find direction and purpose.

We can further create change in our world through partnership and collaboration.
