Our F.O.C.U.S. Women’s Empowerment Program Rita Wright is a space where women of all ages come together to build confidence, find purpose, and support one another through life’s journey.
This is more than a group — it’s a community of strength, resilience, and growth.

Our Special Needs Empowerment Program is all about confidence, inclusion, creativity, and connection. From music and activities to laughter around the table, every moment is designed to remind individuals and families that they belong, they matter, and their voices deserve to be heard.
We don’t focus on limitations — we celebrate abilities. And the smiles say it all. 🌟
All ages. All abilities. All welcome.
Today was a reminder of why community matters.
Celebrating the holidays together, uplifting our neighbors, and honoring our special needs community with dignity, joy, and inclusion.
Service isn’t a title — it’s showing up.
Grateful for moments like this. ✨🎄
Grateful to be part of a beautiful day celebrating the Spirit of Christmas with our community. 💝
Seeing joy, laughter, and togetherness — especially alongside our friends with special needs — is what this season is truly about.
This is what service looks like.
This is what love looks like.
This is community. ❤️🎄
📍 Shoemaker Bridge Project Update | Community Engagement Matters
Had the opportunity to connect with Wayne Smith, Senior Program Manager & Project Engineer for the Shoemaker Bridge Replacement Project at the Port of Long Beach.
This is a major infrastructure project that will impact:
Traffic flow
Neighborhood access
Port operations
Long-term safety and connectivity between West Long Beach, Downtown, and surrounding communities
What’s important is that community voices are part of the process, not an afterthought.
That’s why LCNA (Locust Community Neighborhood Association) is staying engaged, informed, and present — making sure residents understand:
What’s changing
When closures will happen
How detours and access will work
Where public input fits into the process
We appreciate project leaders who take time to explain the work and listen to neighborhood concerns. This is how infrastructure and community move forward together.
📣 If you live, work, or travel through this area, stay connected and stay informed.
LCNA — Connecting neighbors. Elevating community voices.
Proud to be out in the community supporting the Uplift the Sixth Neighborhood Clean Up. This is what real work looks like — neighbors showing up, dumpsters getting filled, streets getting cleaner, and pride being restored block by block.
Big respect to Councilwoman Suely Saro, community partners, volunteers, and everyone who took time to make a difference. When residents, organizations, and the City come together, you can see the impact immediately.
This is how we build safer, cleaner, stronger neighborhoods — not just talking about it, but doing the work. 👊🏾
