Side By Side Respite

Yesterday Side By Side Respite enjoyed a fun day with VBS as our theme. The theme was Mission Shine Project Light 589 ⭐️. We started our day with cards, conversations and snacks while enjoying all the VBS decorations! We visited with Piper, St Berdoodle Therapy dog and Daisy. Exercise time was led by VBS volunteers. About 17 awesome youth spent the whole day with us! They led us in 2 crafts that were fun. We enjoyed a pizza and salad lunch and lots of conversations. Next we had a competitive game resembling Jeopardy. Both teams answered lots of questions! We enjoyed learning space facts from Tommy and hearing students read scripture. We moved into our Sanctuary for more VBS songs and learning the motions. We ended the day with Music by Mandy and a devotion. Videos to be posted soon.

Let me just say- Side by Side Respite- what a day!!! Our day started with cards and conversations followed by visiting with Piper the St Berdoodle therapy dog that brings joy to our faces! Next we danced and exercised and played with the parachutes. We were in for a treat next when Connor from La Terre Farms came and taught us about their farm and flowers. He led us in making flower arrangements that everyone was pleased with!! Thanks again for coming! Next we went to lunch and enjoyed some good food! After lunch we played Match Game about the planets and Bingo with the same theme. Prizes were so much fun! We ended the day with music and a devotion. Great day, with lots of !!!!!!!
