Ship – to - Shore Transportation: Our Most Requested Service
Our Ship – to - Shore Transportation service is by far our most requested. Operating to meet the diverse needs of seafarers.
We provide free transportation to all Seafarers arriving to the San Pedro Bay Port Complex from ship to Our Center, local shopping, restaurants, to the airport and more places within a 30 miles distance.
After their outings, we can transport them back to their vessel, or to our Center if they need a place to stay before boarding their next ship.

In honor of our annual supporters the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles we have refreshed our ports and American flags with the help of our resident seafarers. Flying with pride the flags can be seen from the bridge and all passerby trucks on our tall ship mast refurbished by Port of Long Beach last year.
Thank to our two ports as our annual supporters! You help us ensure that seafarers arriving and going at our two ports receive free ship-to-shore transportation, a place to rest in between voyages, a place to reliable internet to connect with their families, on-board ministry and warm care from our friendly faces, all free to them.

Spring Fling 2026 happened — and you made it something we won't forget.
On April 9, Lions Automobilia filled up with people who believe that the invisible heroes who move the world's goods deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
We raised over $46,000 (3x more than in 2025!). And we connected with more than 200 donors and had 150+ supporters in attendance. We told seafarers' stories in a room full of people who were ready to listen.
Thank you to every sponsor, guest, board member, and volunteer who showed up. You are the reason the ISC is still standing — and growing.
The port doesn't stop. Neither do we. 🌊

First impressions from one of our most successful Spring Fling fundraisers last night through the lens of our most wonderful (and sole!) volunteer, Ana Erica Martin Jimenez of Tetrapak, who eased registration for our 150+ guests as a part of a magnificent trio of ISC Awellcomers, with our part-time driver lovely Tyrone Sosa and incredible Sharon of Lions Automobilia! Thank you, Ana! ! It is because of people like you and our many, many partners, supporters and sponsors that seafarers at the largest port complex in America are seen and cared for with ISC’s free services! Here's something most people don't know.
90% of everything in your home arrived on a cargo ship. Behind every one of those ships is a crew that's been away from their families for many months at a stretch — and when they dock at the Ports of LA or Long Beach, most have just hours ashore in a city they've never visited, without a working phone or a way to get around.
The International Seafarers Center has been meeting them at the dock for over 50 years. Transportation, SIM cards, wifi, emergency support, a meal, a welcome. Free to every seafarer who needs it — which is exactly why we fundraise.
Spring Fling 2026 is one of two events that make all of it possible. And it happens to be a fantastic night out.
We're at Lions Automobilia — a jaw-dropping space filled with vintage and classic cars — for a casual evening of burgers, hot dogs, beer and wine, live music, and a raffle that people come back for every year. Sports tickets, great finds, and Mattel toys courtesy of a company that has shown up for our seafarers at both ISC events every single year. There's something for everyone.
We're still working toward our $50,000 goal. Two Bentley and two Cadillac sponsorships remain. Individual tickets are $100.

Invisible Heroes. Visible Support. — it's on the side for a reason.
Because that's exactly what we do, every day, at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The Port of LA and Port of Long Beach funded the wrap. The ITF put the vehicle on the road. The Seafarers' Trust backs the mission. And our team drives it to every ship — so that a crew member who's been at sea for 90, 120, sometimes 150 days can get a ride, a SIM card, a hot meal, or just a human being who looks them in the eye and says: we've got you.
That's ISC. And Spring Fling — three weeks away — is how we fund it.
We're under half our $50,000 goal. We just added live music to the lineup. And we still have sponsorship tiers available, including the Cadillac at $3,000.

Our goal: $50,000 to support the services we provide to 6,400+ seafarers each year at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
These are the people behind the global supply chain — spending months at sea, far from their families. When they dock, ISC is there: van transportation, SIM cards and wifi so they can call home, crisis support, and a space where they feel like human beings and not just crew.
