Meet the Artist: Don Woodard

As this year's featured artist in the Commissioners' Choice Art Exhibition, Don Woodard brings "National Park Art" to Lone Tree Arts Center, a collection inspired by firsthand travels and adventures through America's National Parks and National Monuments.

Known for his distinctive "Fine Art in Wood" technique, Don hand carves intricate relief images into select woods before painting them to create stunning three-dimensional works of art. His subjects range from wildlife and sweeping landscapes to Western scenes inspired by years spent exploring Colorado's Rocky Mountains and leading pack-horse trips into the Flat Tops Wilderness.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 26 from 6-7:30 PM and hear directly from Don during a fireside chat at 6:40 PM as he shares his journey from sign shop owner to nationally exhibited fine artist.

🍷 Complimentary bar from 6-6:30 PM
