That would seem like an easy question to answer, but because of a snafu by Congress, it isn’t quite so clear.

This is the time of year I get a lot of question on required minimum distributions (RMDs) from individual retirement account (IRAs.) It really boils down to the year you were born. At some point Uncle Sam does want a share of your retirement account(s) via taxes. I've attached a pretty good article below to help explain when you will need to plan for this event.
