Truckers across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico should be ready as the CVSA International Roadcheck 2026 inspection blitz is set for May 12–14.

International Roadcheck is the largest commercial vehicle enforcement event in the world, with CVSA-certified inspectors conducting intensive roadside inspections over a 72-hour period.

According to CVSA, inspectors examine an average of nearly 15 trucks and motorcoaches every minute across North America during the event.

Since the program began in 1988, more than 1.8 million roadside inspections have been conducted.

The annual enforcement campaign focuses on:

• Driver safety compliance
• Vehicle mechanical condition
• Hours-of-service compliance
• Required documentation and credentials
• Cargo securement
• Hazmat compliance (when applicable)

This year’s International Roadcheck runs with participation from:

• Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA)
• Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
• Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
• Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators
• Transport Canada
• Mexico’s Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation

Drivers found with critical violations can be placed out of service immediately until issues are corrected.
