My son and family are in Virginia Beach now and just down the road is this historical gem tucked in among the residential homes. I enjoyed learning about this family and the history is fascinating! Virginia is so green!!!

Progression of a pendant composed of synthetic opal set in sterling silver. My goal was to learn to make prongs to keep the stone in place. I managed it and learned a lot in the process, which is half the fun!

New necklace design with a pendant of fine silver metal clay, antique jadeite chou beads, and faceted garnet beads on sterling silver wire and chain approx. 16 inches length. 💕
