Today we want to shine a spotlight on one of Lompoc Theatre Project’s newest Board Members, Gisela A Rodriguez!

Gisela was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and proudly embraces her heritage as a first-generation college graduate. She graduated cm laude from San Diego State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting. She is proud to consider Santa Barbara home and celebrates the rich cultural connections she shares with both her Mexican roots and the local community.

She enjoys participating in local events, such as Sunken Garden movies at the courthouse, Old Spanish Days, and Summer Solstice, which reflect the vibrant mix of traditions that make Santa Barbara so special to her.

Today we want to shine a spotlight on one of Lompoc Theatre Project’s newest Board Members, Jamie Dufek!

Jamie Dufek is a nonprofit leader, mixed media artist, and community advocate with a passion for strengthening communities through the arts. Originally from Minnesota, she earned a BA in Studio Art from Gustavus Adolphus College before moving to Santa Barbara, where she later completed her MBA with a focus in nonprofit management and corporate social responsibility.

Jamie has served in leadership and volunteer roles with The Arts Fund, Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, A Different Point of View, Youth Making Change, the Turner Foundation and the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation Outreach Committee. Passionate about arts access and community service, she believes the arts play a vital role in creating vibrant, connected communities and is excited to support the continued restoration and future vision of the Lompoc Theatre Project.

After 13 years, we’re finally here!

This year’s I Madonnari Festival was amazing and we think it's fair to “chalk it up” to the amazing community that surrounds, and supports the arts in Santa Barbara County.

If you enjoyed this weekend’s festival, then you have got to check out Lompoc Chalks returning October 2nd-4th. We hope to see you there!

This Wednesday, May 13th, our leadership team will be at City Hall for the Planning Commission Meeting to review the Conditional Use Permit and Certificate of Appropriateness Application for our theater renovation plans. Join us and show the Planning Commission how important restoring this historic theater is!

We were originally scheduled to have this important review last month, but were unfortunately delayed due to lack of quorum. The full meeting packet and agenda can be found on the Planning Commission page below.
