Customer Highlight: Magic The Gathering Group

This group has only been playing Magic at The Owl for the last few years, but many of them have been part of The Owl for 10+ years either as employees, customers, or both.

They keep coming back for the chill vibes, friendly staff, great food, community and of course, the Magic.

This is one of the sweetest, most welcoming groups you'll ever meet. Whether you're well-versed or first-time player, they'll make you feel right at home.

And while Magic can bring out a competitive side, this group always manages to keep things fun, friendly, and relaxed. They play hard, help new players learn, and make Thursday nights something we all look forward to.

We're lucky to have them as part of The Owl. 🍻🃏

Customer Highlight: Nucor & Friends

Many have been coming in since The White Owl opened back in ’83. And yeah, they’ve only gotten better (and louder) with time.

The group has changed over the years, with a few fresh faces including “Hunter the baby,” who was served his very first legal drink by our very own manager.

They come for the great service, the atmosphere, the food, and of course the Big Dogs.

You’ll find them here for lunch every Friday, and they are without a doubt one of the loudest, funniest, and most entertaining parts of our afternoons.

We’re lucky they share their jokes, their energy, and their joy with us. 🍻

Customer Highlight: Professors & Friends

This group of professors and friends has been coming to The Owl for 15 years.

They love the great service, but what makes it truly special to them is the value they place on friendship.
They meet here every Friday (except during Lent, of course) for lunch, a beer, and good conversation.

You’ll usually find them enjoying a Uinta, either a Cutthroat or a Golden Spike.

They’re an absolute joy to have. Giving them great service comes easy when they’re always so kind and patient.

And as an added bonus, they never make us split the tab.

We’re lucky to be part of their weekly tradition. 🍻

Customer Highlight: Stan the Man

Stan has been coming to The Owl for 43 years. He loves the camaraderie, and it’s something he finds easily thanks to his vast knowledge and skill set, ranging from philosophy to metalwork.

Stan has a deep curiosity and a drive to find answers, which makes him an incredible problem solver. He’s always willing to share his skills, whether that’s building something for someone or teaching a new craft. He’s shared so much with all of us Owl's over the years, and we couldn't be more grateful!

He carries a genuine respect for people of all ages and walks of life, making him easy to talk to and someone others naturally gravitate toward. And if you’ve had the privilege of talking to Stan, you know he’s a great storyteller.

All of these qualities make him a valuable resource, mentor, and friend to everyone he meets.

We’re proud to have him as one of The Owl’s own. 🍻

Customer Highlight: Jeff AKA El Jefe

Jeff has been coming to The Owl for 34 years. At one point, he even spent a few months working on the other side of the bar.

These days, Jeff enjoys coming in to drink a Bud or as we like to call it, “A Jeff.” He’s a fan favorite among the staff. Whether he’s sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender or at a table catching up with a friend, it’s always a delight to have him here.

Jeff is also incredibly kind and patient, we often have new staff serve him while they’re training because we know he’ll treat them with the same kindness and understanding he shows everyone.
