I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but I HAVE been working on some fan art pieces! I've been taking characters from a bunch of different sources and warping them into monsters that one might find in the Monster Hunter game franchise!

This first one should be fairly obvious: it's based off of Donald Duck! Named Faullard, this semi-aquatic bird wyvern is very territorial, and will not hesitate to attack any unwelcome visitors. It gets enraged easily during battle -- much quicker than most other monsters. When it's angry, the pale scales on its head change in pigment to a bright crimson as a warning. Although its body has special organs to generate intense amounts of heat, it cannot breathe fire; instead, it uses the heat to create billowing jets of steam from its nostrils, which can both obscure an area and inflict waterblight on any would-be hunters.

HEGAR OF CLAN UDOVROTH

Just a quick and simple portrait of one of my characters from a DnD Campaign that I'm currently in. Hegar is the son of Baron Rorgoth and Baroness Silga of clan Udovroth. As the firstborn of a set of twins, Hegar is heir to the Barony Udovroth.

He is a prodigy spellcaster, drawing power from his draconic heritage. His twin brother, Hehador, possessed no such inherent ability, and was ridiculed for it. He ran away from their prestigious school of sorcery, and joined a travelling troupe of storytellers. After a long while, the two cross paths again -- Hegar now being an alumnus researcher of magic, and Hehador having finally learned to access the arcane through a passion of performance.

The ever-serious and dignified Hegar appears to barely tolerate his upbeat and shameless wild card of a brother. As they are drawn in to a plot of dark conspiracy and political intrigue alongside a group of diverse strangers, tension between the two brothers hangs like a sinister shadow in the background -- but why?


I plan on coloring this piece at some point, but I figured I would post this for now! I am really enjoying this campaign so far, especially with my actual brother playing the bard Hehador alongside me. Check out his work!
