Bren Il barrel that was sent in for a cut, crown and thread for an SBR project. A large online shop turned this customer down due to the barrel assembly being non-standard and unable to be dropped into their machine.

Bob’s your uncle. Hammer bob on this Charter Arms snubby and a little touch up to match the original case hardening.

Custom “Tanodize” for this originally black SCAR-20S. I played around with a few different blends to settle on this mix. Pretty pleased with the results.

Using the Viper Benchrest 3-in-1 tool to indicate and thread a ****ms Buckmark barrel 1/2x28RH for suppressor use. These jigs are handy for indicating and blueprinting rifle actions, bolts, short or odd barrels and more. viperbenchrest

This is an interesting one 🥴 A customer dropped of a “paperweight” as they called it. Absolutely massive 10.5” AR bull barrel with a .875” journal, and a threading job where the major diameter is in the range of minimum 2A pitch diameter, among other dimensional issues. The fit was so loose that the customer’s suppressor shot off on the first round fired. Luckily it was undamaged. It’s been a week of questionable third party work coming in the shop. Must be a full moon.

Well then. Here is an example of a kitchen table gunsmith’s attempted pin and weld work that a customer wanted removed to install a new 16” barrel. I have corrected bad work from this individual on other occasions unfortunately. Happens more often than not, and confirms my lack of faith in the folks that are working on customer fi****ms these days in a professional setting.

I had been running a standard 1/2x20-28 adapter on my ****ms 71 for a good while now but disliked the added length and it being highly non-concentric on this platform. I decided to turn the barrel down to 3/8” and make a custom 1/2x28RH adapter that was much lower profile.

A customer brought her 45 in with the request for a Joker themed showpiece. This is what we came up with. Bright Purple and Mamba Green with custom laser engraving on the slide and grip frame.

Occasionally I’ll have a request for a barrel threading job that other shops aren’t willing to take on. I’m always up for a new challenge. This Urbino barrel was sent in from out of state to the cut, crown and thread 1/2x28RH for a SBR build. Required a little different setup for sure, but was able to work it out.

Sometimes electrolysis is the only option to clean up some really nasty three dimensional rust.⚡️
