Refined

So before pictures would’ve been good, but I never think about that. I have been obsessed the past few days with rearranging every surface because I bought one new thing! And, that one new thing is not placed yet! Chat has been a great decorator. I cleared off surfaces then asked for ideas. Once it gave me some ideas, I used what I had to try to re-create it and then we went from there, taking pictures of accessories I had and tweaking placements along the way. It has been fun.

Booth 72 Forsyth Antiques & More

I have been collecting mini frames for a while with this project in mind. I love the look of Museum Bees, but not the price. I realize my frames aren’t quite so fancy, but I love how these turned out. When this Iron Orchid Designs mold came out, I thought that was the perfect use for it. It was also a perfect way to use up bits of leftover transfers. Most of these bugs are available in my booth Forsyth Antiques & More

Another treasure added in to my home. This collection started with the red and black tin that I bought to help stage my thermos collection when it was in another location. One day while shopping at Junk in the Trunk in Athens, I spotted the green one and could not resist. Green! Then I needed a third to make an odd number and came across the brown one at Forsyth Antiques and More. And that is how my collections begin! I wanted just a little more height right there so now the fourth one. I don’t know if I’ll need another one to make the number odd again or not!

I thought I would make a little series of where all of this stuff from the World‘s Longest Yard Sale is going in my house. First up is my new thermos.

Small haul from this year’s yard sale. We didn’t have time to take as many shopping days as we usually do and the days we did have were cut short by rain. Also, we were pretty much shopping for ourselves and not my booth. As always, we shopped, we ate and had fun! (Exceptions- the approximately 3’ Indians and carriage will be available if they caught your eye.)

My wild Friday and Saturday night making molds for a piece of furniture. I had forgotten how awesome Debi’s DIY Liquid Patina is. Stay tuned to see the piece these are going on.
