Lockport Rotary Coffin Races

Rotary Club of Lockport had another successful Coffin Race! ALL THINGS LOCKPORT, IL Come join the fun next year. We have a tentative date of October 15th!

Well the 3rd Annual Coffin Races are in the books. Embers came in and took the title from Lockport Police Department in Epic fashion. An Extra Special Thank you to Embers Tap House. They supplied the food and drinks. Putting on events like this is difficult. We had a hard time finding someone that had enough staff to provide refreshments and Embers certainly delivered. Thank you Thank you Thank you to all the participants, the sponsors, the spectators and Embers.
The first place team was Embers followed by Lockport Police Department in 2nd and the Rockin Realtors from Coldwell Banker. Our best dead guy was the Lockport Police Department's Sonnie dressed as SuperGirl, best entourage was the Barral of Monkies and the best coffin was Witches of Hamilton!
I know this is a long post but I do have one more shout out to in Romeoville. They sponsored the barrel of monkeys team. If you have a local business and want to get involved but don't want to run, try and get a team together and sponsor their coffin. Thanks again everyone!!!

2019 We had a great race and we had a Great T-shirt! This was designed by a local artist Kevin Traynor and I would love to see another artist design one this year. If you think you can create an awesome shirt for our racers and guests, we would love to hear from you. Our tentative race day is set! Can't wait to see everyone at the races!!!
