So much is going on here at the LRC. Let's take a second to catch up.

- We have a new logo, courtesy of some amazing marketing students through the Lewis University Community Engaged Learning Program. Watch for it on our bags and new materials.

- Christmas in July sale returns. Watch this page for updates!

- Our Annual Bicycle Drive and Re-Homing Event has come to a close with nearly $2000 raised for the Transformation Scholarship Program.

- Anne and Cean attended the Lockport Township High School awards night to present a Scholarship to another deserving recipient.

- Plans are under way for our Petty Betties fundraiser at Nik & Ivy in November.

- In order for our volunteers to take in all the festivities of Old Canal Days, we will be closed this Saturday, June 13. We will open on Monday for business as usual.

Finally, we are in our 15th year of supporting our local community and we're looking for YOUR help. We are collecting stories for a retrospective on the LRC. If you've volunteered, shopped, or in any way been touched by the Lockport Resource Center, we would love to hear your story. Simply send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "stories" and we'll include your story. Don't worry about grammar or spelling, we want to know how the LRC and it's volunteers have made an impression on YOU.

Bike sale Saturday, May 16 beginning at 9am at Cross of Glory Church on Cedar Road and 163rd Street between 9am and noon.

- All sales are cash only.
- All bikes are sold as is.
- Bikes MUST be removed from the property on the day of the sale. Cash and Carry.
- First come - First serve. NO HOLDS.
- Proceeds benefit the Lockport Resource Center Transformation Scholarship Program benefitting Lockport area residents.
- For safety, test rides may be limited at the discretion of LRC volunteers or Church staff.
- In case of rain, bikes will be indoors.
- Bikes priced between 25 and 50 dollars. Cash only.
- Lockport Resource Center and Cross of Glory Church are not responsible for accidents day of sale.
- All decisions of Lockport Resource Center Volunteers are final.

The Lockport Resource Center is proud to announce our 2026 Transformation Scholarship Recipient, Andrew Miller. Andrew is planning to attend Edgewood University to study law enforcement, following in his father's footsteps as a police officer. He draws on the example his father set by making time to be supportive of his pursuits, despite the challenges of a police officer's schedule. Andrew is appreciative of his teachers and counselors for seeing him through challenging times and looks forward to making a difference in the lives of others.

Andrew and his family have been supporters of the Lockport Resource Center, including having purchased several bicycles from our Annual Bicycle Drive and Re-Homing Event, which is the primary source for Scholarship funding.
