📷 “Seeing is not enough; you have to feel what you photograph.” — André Kertész
That’s the heart of photography: not just capturing a moment, but connecting with it. When emotion leads the way, the image tells a deeper story. What’s a photo you’ve made that truly felt meaningful? 📸
Need some photographic inspiration? Visit Gallery Seven between 12pm-5pm Thursday - Saturday or 12pm-3pm on Sundays to experience our annual photography exhibit: Open Lens XVI. The exhibition features 50 beautiful photographs from 30 talented photographers.
If you find a photograph that really speaks to you, that you connect with...then you'll be happy to know that all the photographs are for sale.
Visit our Open Lens XVI page on our website for all the exhibit details, photographs from the opening reception and the award-winning photographs as well as the Exhibition Catalog that includes the prices for all the photographs.

André Kertész’s 1929 photograph Pont des Arts, Paris stands as a landmark image by the Hungarian-born master. With his signature command of geometry, shadow, and ephemeral city life, Kertész preserved the Parisian pedestrian bridge as it appeared before later structural changes.

📷 “There are no shortcuts in photography."
This quote hits hard for anyone serious about the craft. Mastering photography means practicing, learning from mistakes, and putting in the time—no quick tricks will replace that.
What’s one skill you’ve worked hard to develop in your photography journey? 📸💪
Nautilus is one of Weston’s most iconic works, celebrated for its dazzling luminosity. It showcases his ability to transform a common object into something simultaneously unrecognizable and strangely familiar.

Steps Through Time
What strikes me about this image is the maze of lines, the worn metal, and the sense of an old industrial structure that has endured decades of use. The stairs feel almost secondary to the patterns and history.
