Project Idea: Turning a Driving Question into Action

Driving Question:
How can we, as animal advocates, create awareness about animal welfare so that more people take action to protect animals?

A powerful project starts with a meaningful question—and this one has the potential to create real change.

📌 Step 1: Research
Learn about local and global animal welfare issues. Talk to shelters, rescue groups, veterinarians, and community members.

📌 Step 2: Identify the Need
What animal welfare issue needs the most attention in your community? Adoption, responsible pet ownership, wildlife protection, spay/neuter awareness, or animal cruelty prevention?

📌 Step 3: Create an Awareness Campaign
Use social media, posters, videos, presentations, or community events to educate others and share solutions.

📌 Step 4: Take Action
Organize a donation drive, volunteer event, adoption promotion, fundraiser, or educational workshop.

📌 Step 5: Measure Impact
Track engagement, donations collected, volunteers recruited, animals helped, or people reached through your campaign.

Driving Question: How do we as nutritionalists encourage healthier eating habits so that our community experiences improved health and wellness?

Throughout this project, students explore the connection between nutrition, lifestyle choices, and overall well-being. By researching healthy eating habits, analyzing nutritional information, and developing solutions to promote wellness, students learn how small changes can make a big impact on our community's health.
