This piece was done as a commission a few years back for my aunt. This is my family’s land and to***co barn that had been standing for over 100 years. Just like America herself, this land has seen bitterness, turmoil, injustice, and also beauty, new life, and true joy and peace. ♥️

An idea from a friend born out of the depiction of Christ as our forerunner; the One who makes a way and goes before us through the rocks and shallows to the safety of the harbor. Us as big ships, otherwise blind to the sharp rocks and changing tides, being slowed down by the One who knows the way and can see what is before us. This piece was an honor to create and is one of my very favorites.
