The "good" (?) news is that Denver is no longer #1 on this dubious list. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DzxUmCZeU/

Seattle posted the steepest home price decline of any major U.S. metro in March at 2.5% year over year, displacing Denver as the nation's weakest housing market, according to the S&P Cotality Case-Shiller Index.

For the past few years I have prepared every buyer for this. And playfully warned them in advance that, if they forget about the cameras & other recording devices, they may see a silent "zip it" gesture. 🤐 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GGTay4R4T/

Most buyers don’t realize this, but there’s a good chance you’re being recorded during home showings.

With smart doorbells, exterior cameras, and security systems becoming standard in many homes, casual conversations during a showing may not be as private as you think.

That quick comment about price, the condition of the home, or negotiation strategy could easily be picked up on audio or video recording.

Simple rule: if you wouldn’t want it replayed later, save the conversation for outside the property.

I'm very much a history buff and I especially love biographies & documentaries. I'm currently reading "Theodore Rex", a biography on T. Roosevelt who was, in my opinion, the most interesting man to ever hold the presidency of the US. President Roosevelt is shown here, waving to spectators, as he travels through downtown Denver in May 1905.

Denver Broncos Hall of Famer Peyton Manning is part of a group that is proposing a mixed-use development that would include a 15,000 sf full-service restaurant & other amenities dubbed "1st Street Farms" near the intersection of S Santa Fe Dr & W Mineral Ave in Littleton.

In addition to the "southern cooking" restaurant, the complex would include a 13,000 sf bar, event space, a community park complete with a turf football field (naturally), and five acres of landscaped gardens and paths.

The Gastamo Group, best known for popular local restaurant concepts such as the original Park Burger and Homegrown Tap & Dough, is partnering with Manning on the project.

I-70 Floyd Hill Project Flyover Rendering 04/21/2026

Several weekends ago, I was driving to Lake County on I-70 and was curious about the appearance of what looks like a massive project at Floyd Hill. This CDOT video explains what will be happening between now & 2029.

I-70 Floyd Hill Project Flyover Rendering The I-70 Floyd Hill Project encompasses an eight-mile section of the I-70 Mountain Corridor from west of Evergreen to eastern Idaho Springs that acts as an e...

We're hearing that construction on the new Costco on W Mineral Ave in Littleton is now delayed due to recently-found hazardous soil contamination. The somber news at Mineral Place doesn't end there. The much-anticipated Portillo's, a Chicago-based fast casual chain, may not be happening after all due to a corporate decision to slow their previously rapid expansion.

Congratulations to our Univ of Denver Pioneers for defeating the Univ of Wisconsin Badgers to win their record 11th NCAA men's hockey championship! DU, "The Harvard of the Rockies," has an undergrad enrollment of just over 6k students. By comparison, Wisconsin has a total enrollment of 52k. David (Carle) vs. Goliath!

While I personally believe that the I-70 corridor from DIA to Vail has a greater need for rail service (and high speed at that), Colorado’s future Front Range passenger rail now has a name. The “Colorado Connector” or “CoCo” line is planned to connect Fort Collins to Pueblo with a targeted 2029 launch.
