If you’ve been to One Hope even one time, there’s almost a 100% chance you’ve met Betty.
Betty is the kind of person who makes you feel fully loved the moment you walk through the doors. For years, she has faithfully walked alongside One Hope through seasons of growth and transition, supported our staff, volunteered countless hours, led many of our ministries, and reflected the love of Jesus to every person she meets.
Last week was Betty’s birthday, and we decided someone this special deserved a special gift. We submitted her to receive the Church of the Nazarene (Official) Distinguished Service Award, an honor given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional faithfulness, service, and commitment to the local church and the Kingdom of God, and had the joy of presenting it to her on Sunday.
We truly cannot imagine One Hope without Betty. We are all better because we’ve met her, been prayed for by her, hugged by her, encouraged by her, or simply welcomed by her.
Betty, thank you for the countless ways you love people so well and point them to Jesus. We are so thankful for you.
Struggling spiritually? You're not alone. Many Christians are just trying to survive the week instead of thriving. Stop running on empty and start living in His strength.

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving our country.
As we enjoy time with family and friends, may we pause to reflect on their sacrifice and pray for the loved ones they left behind.
We are grateful for their courage, their service, and their legacy.
When the world feels hopeless and divided, remember this truth: Hope is not dead! Hope is alive and His name is Jesus. We're building more than just a church. We’re creating a home for the hurting, the skeptical, and everyone wondering if they belong in God's family.

This Sunday, we celebrated our graduating high school seniors!
We also had many of our students leading throughout the service and serving behind the scenes in production. We are so proud of this next generation and the ways they continue to step up and serve so well.
We can’t wait to see where God leads them next. Their futures are bright!
