A one-month-old, 2-pound baby facing death… not on our watch.
Welcome to Pound Pitties, sweet baby boy! 💜
At just four weeks old, this tiny little soul should be learning how to play, cuddle, and enjoy being a puppy—not fighting for his life. Thankfully, he’s safe now and will never have to face that fate alone.
We are so grateful we were able to step in and give him the chance he deserves. Stay tuned for updates on this precious little guy as he begins his journey to a happy, healthy future.
Please note: He is NOT available for adoption at this time. He is just a baby and needs time to decompress, receive proper care, and continue growing strong and healthy. We will share updates when he is ready.
Welcome to the Pound Pitties family, little man. Your new life starts today. 💜🐾

His Texas foster can’t stop talking about what a wonderful dog he is. He’s currently safe in a foster home, but we’d love to get him to Colorado as soon as possible so he can begin the next chapter of his life.
If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please reach out. Fostering saves lives, and giving this boy a place to land could be the difference between him waiting and finally finding his forever home.
Please share to help us find his Colorado family. 🐾❤️

Every rescue and rescuer I know is at the same point we are: full, broke and exhausted. Every rescuer is to the breaking point. Compassion fatigue and the consequences are great in rescue. It wears your soul down.
Sadly, we rescuers can't take the ones going down for space today. Every animal control we work with this week has begged and sent pictures. We save them or they die. Many we could not save. We. Just. Could. Not. Only because no one will step up.
I'm not talking just about rescues I work with, but every rescue I know.
Those faces of the ones we could not save, they haunt our souls. Saying you can't save them all is nothing but a line uttered to try and ease the guilt. There is no easing the guilt.
Our personal lives suffer.
Our wallets suffer.
Our mental health suffers.
If we lash out or do not get back with you in a timely manner, please be understanding. Ask how you can help. Ask how we are doing. Listen to us bitch for five minutes. But don't judge until you are the one deciding who to save and who you can't save.
If you can foster, please do.
If you can donate, please do.
If you can transport, please do. Hundreds lost their lives this week for nothing more than lack of space.
To everyone else, please spay/neuter, adopt a rescue, don't buy, keep your pets through their entire lives and consider the people who fight for animals and will have to fight for yours if you give them up or allow a litter to be born.
And…..now they’re dead!!! Because no one came. Fostering us free-why won’t anyone help? No one seems to care anymore.

Midnight has been in foster care since September after arriving from Texas covered in more than 44 bite wounds. It was obvious he had been used as a bait dog and attacked multiple times, as he had both old and fresh wounds. Despite everything humans allowed to happen to him, Midnight remains a sweet, loving boy who deserves so much more than the life he’s had.
His patient and dedicated foster has worked incredibly hard to help him heal, but it’s time for Midnight to find a forever home of his own.
Because of his past trauma, Midnight sometimes struggles to understand the difference between dogs growling during play and dogs growling with aggressive intentions. After everything he’s been through, it’s understandable. He isn’t a bad dog—he’s a survivor still learning that the world can be safe.
✅ Cat friendly
✅ Fully vetted
✅ ProHeart injection completed
✅ Crate trained
✅ Potty trained
✅ Loves people
✅ Adoption fee sponsored
The odds have been stacked against Midnight from the beginning. First because of what people did to him, and then because he’s a black pit bull—a combination that often leaves dogs overlooked for months or even years.
We’ve done everything we can think of. Midnight has been listed on Petfinder, featured in flyers, posted on Facebook and Instagram, and highlighted on our website. Yet somehow this incredible dog is still waiting.
His adoption fee is sponsored. He just needs someone willing to give him the second chance he deserves.
Please share Midnight’s story. Tag friends, family, coworkers, neighbors—anyone who might be looking for a loyal companion. Every share gives him a better chance of finally being seen.
Adopt Midnight. Share Midnight. Help us get this deserving boy home. 🖤🐾

SHE DOES EVERYTHING RIGHT, WHY DOES NO ONE WANT HER 🥺💔
This is Masie literally the sweetest cutest girl. She was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Texas when her family moved and they decided to leave her behind. She never did anything wrong but love that family. Her family walked away after signing papers knowing she would likely lose her life. We saw this precious face that did no wrong, that didn’t deserve this and stepped in to save her life. Sadly she has sat now in a foster home for 6 months with not a single application. We don’t understand why? What is it about Masie that people haven’t seen to fall in love with her like we did.
So we want to help you fall in love with 2 year old Masie. Truthfully look at those pics not sure how those don’t get you but here’s plenty of other reasons to be her new furever. Maise is DOG friendly, if you have another furry companion she could be their new best friend. Worried about potty training well no worry here she’s potty trained and even better, also crate trained. Do you ever want to get out and enjoy the weather? Well this girl will have your side, she likes to go on walks and walks well on a leash. Do you know how expensive the vet is? Guess what she is fully vetted and fixed! The best one of all. You will never feel alone with this girl around, she loves to cuddle and snuggle. You’ll never have a lonely night she’ll make sure of that.
If you haven’t fallen in love yet but want to meet her let us know! We can set up a meet and greet with your new best friend. If you just fell in love you can apply to adopt below.
Please help us find Masie her furever! She deserves it, she’s waited long enough.
