We had a plumbing issue yesterday….
the cost to fix this problem was $175..
Someone came in today and donated $200.
Hmmm…

We need a plumber…
Slow draining occasionally from all the drains.. and a shower that will not drain..
any suggestions??

For the past 6 years, 2 Elves (Chris & James) have come over and helped me drag out all of the Christmas stuff from the storage container at The Shack 🌲 🌲 It has become a beloved Christmas tradition with these 2! So thankful to know I can always depend on them! Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas🎄 The most wonderful time of the year 🌲 🌲 🌲

The Shacks 13th Annual Thanksgiving Feast is in the Books!🦃 It was a Great day to sit down with friends and stuff our bellies with so much food! Turkey, Ham, Dressing, Sweet Potatoes, Green bean casserole, corn casserole, mash potatos, and PIE🥧 We are so grateful for all of the Help from these folks, Brittney, David, Sandy, Patty, Addie, James, Chris, Stan, Jerry, Ro, Richard, Well Done, Yall👏🏻 and for the Food Donations received over the past few days that help feed approx 50-60 folks. Noone left Hungry today💙

Can Someone Help our Friend Harvey out with a pair of Boots that will get him through the Winter Months? 🥾 🥾 Size 13 or 14! We dont have any in our stock pile! He will be most grateful!

The Shack, thanks to all of the food & monetary donations that have come in the last few days, handed out approx 40 bags of food items today to folks who rely on SNAP Benefits. With the Government Shutdown and the unknown status for SNAP recipients this month, we are emptying the Pantry Shelves to those who dont have Plenty! Thankyou to all who have contributed in one way or another! It Makes A Huge Difference💙

DRASTIC TIMES CALL FOR DRASTIC MEASURES…..HUNGER CRISIS!
42 Million people are at risk of losing their November SNAP benefits. The Shack serves many folks in The Community who rely on SNAP to purchase food items. No SNAP means No Food for our neighbors! Across the street from The Shack are Government assisted apartments with families who rely on SNAP TO PUT food on their tables. The Shack is Not a “Food Pantry” but we do try to keep the Pantry stocked with food items to help folks on an as needed basis and also for preparing meals that are served at The Shack. We are approaching a Tsunami hunger crisis come November 1st if SNAP IS NOT Funded by the Government. We are on standby to Empty the Pantry shelves of any and all food items to help provide meals for those who will be hardest hit in the community. If you can donate any Food items in the next few weeks to help keep folks fed, you may drop off at The Shack anytime. David or Brittney are always there to Serve!

Its Not always sunshine and roses but we try😎 Sundays are typically hectic as so many people come in for a hot meal or a sandwich, shop the Free Store, take showers and maybe stay for Church! It takes all Hands for things to run somewhat smoothly. We appreciate all The Lovely Hands on Deck that show up every Week to make this happen! David runs the Free Store and keeps everything moving along with all the fabulous finds & treasures that have been donated by people from everywhere!
