A dependable energy future starts with planning. Through regional transmission planning, SPP works across state and utility boundaries to evaluate system performance, forecast growth, and coordinate transmission needs before issues arise.

Using robust data, industry expertise, and forward-looking analysis, SPP evaluates system-wide needs and opportunities to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions to members.

In celebration of Juneteenth, SPP employees gathered to honor the rich history and celebration of freedom represented by the holiday.

SPP's Business Resource Group, Black Leaders at SPP Today (BL@ST), hosted a viewing of "WOVEN," a powerful video series created by the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. Attendees watched the series and participated in a roundtable discussion that encouraged learning, reflection and meaningful conversation about the significance of Juneteenth. Employees then gathered in the café for a celebration with food and games.

Thank you to BL@ST for leading this meaningful experience and providing an opportunity for employees to learn, reflect and celebrate together.

Each month, SPP employees select a local or national organization to support. For June, we’re proud to spotlight the Children's Protection Center- Little Rock, AR (CPC), a nonprofit child advocacy and safety center serving children and families across Central Arkansas.

Earlier this month, SPP staff teamed up to form a crew for the 2026 River Cities Dragon Boat Festival, paddling in support of the Children’s Protection Center and its mission to end child abuse.

Throughout June, SPP team members will continue raising funds to support the Children’s Protection Center and its efforts to create safer, healthier futures for children in our communities.

From morning routines that start the day to bedtime stories and goodnights, electricity is there every step of the way.

National Electricity Day is a reminder of how much we rely on it every day, from powering homes and schools to supporting businesses, hospitals and critical services across the communities our members serve.

SPP helps members keep their customers' lights on by coordinating grid reliability and balancing electric supply and demand across a 17-state region.

Behind the scenes, that means scheduling generation from more than 1,000 energy resources, helping power flow across 86,000 miles of transmission lines, and planning for the grid of the future.

Today, we're recognizing the essential role electricity plays in daily life and the people, systems and collaboration that make it possible.
