Whether it's jumping in to help a teammate or greeting everyone with a smile, she truly makes our day to day just a little better just by being her! When she isn't at work, you can find Randi curled up with a great book, 📖 hitting the gym to lift weights,🏋️‍♀️or being the best dog mom🐾she can be!
Randi, you truly complete our ODS family and we love you to pieces! Thank you for all that you do. 💞

This weeks ODS spotlight shines on Don Kinney! Don is a brilliant scrub tech and a genuinely kind soul who never hesitates to step in and help. His humor and "Can-Do" attitude make the toughest ODS shifts feel a little lighter. Don, thank you for always going the extra mile for this team! 👐

Silly prediction time: Coach Cal gets so excited during the Arkansas deep run that he accidently calls time out for Kentucky. Meanwhile, Illinois reaches the Final Four solely because the Ivisic brothers start shooting 3s from the parking lot. I have them meeting in the final where the winner is decided by a mascot race between a pig and a Fighting Illini.... OH, wait. 🐗🏀 What is your prediction??

Whether it’s a busy shift or a complex case, Lauren is always the first to step up and lend a hand. We are so lucky to have her energy and expertise on our team! 💐

✨ODS spotlight shines✨ so brightly on Rockstar Surgical Tech, Cheyney Jones. Cheyney has an amazing superpower of radiating pure joy 24/7. She is able to make everyday better just by being her. Her energy is unmatched and the happiness she exudes is a true gift to our team. We love having her in the ODS family. 💞

ODS Team Spotlight: John Pace 🏥

Today we’re featuring the man, the myth, the legend: John Pace. As one of our Charge Nurses, John’s official job is to keep One Day Surgery running smoothly. His actual job includes:

• Mastering the art of the tactical eye-roll.

• Translating sarcasm into "nursing care plans."

• Making sure the chaos stays organized enough that we don't notice it's chaos.

John is the first person to jump in when things get hectic and the first person to remind you that you’re doing it wrong (with love, mostly). We couldn't do it without his hard work, his leadership, and his refusal to tolerate anyone’s nonsense.

This week’s ODS spotlight is on the incredible Rhonda Hindsley! 🌟 Rhonda is a seasoned pro who has been absolutely crushing it here at UAMS.

When she’s off-duty, she’s outnumbered by her three boys and her grandson. Her only backup? A teacup Yorkie so small it technically qualifies as a "pocket-sized supervisor." Between the surgery life and the boy-mom life, we’re just convinced Rhonda doesn't actually require sleep. Help us celebrate her! 🥂

This week’s ODS Spotlight shines brightly on the incredible Karla Morgan! Karla is a phenomenal nurse with a true heart of gold; she’s the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. "Above and beyond" isn't just a phrase for Karla—it’s her standard every single day. When she isn’t being a superstar in the unit, she’s enjoying life at home with her husband and her prize-winning pack of show dogs.

This week, we are shining the light on Kenya Gray. Outside of her work here at ODS, Kenya is a big believer in staying active. You can usually find her hitting the gym or working on her latest fitness goals. When she's not working out, she loves spending quality time at home with her husband and dog. We're happy to have her energy on the team!!

ODS weekly spotlight shines on Mwendwa Mbaabu! She is a key member of our nursing staff for the last year. Mwendwa brings a world of experience to our facility. She is a quiet force on our team, always focused on providing the best care for her patients. We are so glad you're here with us Mwendwa!
