Nearly 450 hospitals in 44 states are at high risk of closing or cutting services. They serve six million patients, employing 300,000 care workers. Currently, Arkansas is already experiencing hospital and unit closures due to reimbursement issues and funding levels.
This situation and scenario are only gotten worse if there's no call to action to our lawmakers who Last year approved more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, public health & rural hospitals, delaying implementation until later this year.
We must reach out to our lawmakers and let them know that 45 years of HIV cannot be rolled back with these poor choices being imposed on the American people.
Call you representative's office and let him or her know that this is unacceptable and we demand change! Reach out to [email protected] for more info.

The national week of action is set for June 1–7, 2026. Local groups such as The Strilite Foundation and advocates will organize and participate in town halls, panel discussions, forums, demonstrations, marches, rallies, candlelight vigils, inter-faith services, AIDS Memorial Quilt displays and social media campaigns in rural towns and urban neighborhoods nationwide.
Medical research, affordable access to healthcare, vaccines, and treatment, and strong public health systems are fundamental to quality of life, economic stability, workforce strength and national security.
Budget cuts to Medicaid, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are threats to the health of all Americans.
The cuts passed by Congress last year will not go into effect until after this fall’s election, when they will also cause harm local economies and the loss of more than one million jobs and billions in tax revenue. Did you know that last year, lawmakers passed over $1 trillion in health funding cuts as part of H.R. 1. The most severe human and economic consequences of these cuts will not take effect until later this year, which is why we need to make our voices heard now.
The Strilite Foundation has signed on as a supporter of the Seven Days in June: HEALTH IS PRIMARY which is a decentralized, nonpartisan, grassroots-driven campaign from June 1-7, 2026.
We believe that we must join the fight to expose and push back against these cuts and their devastating impact on our healthcare infrastructure. Health cuts kill, and communities across America – from rural towns to large cities – are already paying the price.
There are over 50 organizations partnering for Seven Days in June – including UNITE HERE, AFL-CIO, SEIU, NMAC and many others who represent millions of Americans who demand answers.
These people-powered organizations are now joined by actor and longtime healthcare advocate Noah Wyle. The son of a registered nurse and a fierce advocate for frontline workers, Wyle is amplifying our call to action: Health is not partisan. HEALTH IS PRIMARY.
We at TSF believe that healthcare is not be seen as an entitlement but a right that everyone must have access to! Share your thoughts with us at [email protected] Do it today!! See less

The Strilite Foundation applauds the next growth move of Arkansas RAPPS! TSF fully supports its latest acquisition in the House of LOVE housing initiative. Thank you to Realtor Patrick H. for believing in the timeline and for being laser focused on making it happen.
TSF is excited and agrees that we must share these teachable moment with our staff members because if each one does not teach one, we can't grow the all important intergenerational wealth.

Before you get your weekend started, let me remind you that next week is going to full of activities that you make want to put on your calendar right now!
The Arkansas HIV Reform & Justice Coalition is a collective of individuals, advocates, organizations and allies who are supporting reform to the state's current HIV Criminalization statue and the lack of state funding of HIV prevention and programs.
On April 28th, the group will be educating legislators at the State Capitol on the subject matter and highly encourages PLW and supporters to call your representatives and ask them to attend.

It's important that Arkansas reforms our law to coincide with current science and that our state budget addresses the current drive to decrease new HIV infections in Arkansas by 90 percent by 2030.
