Trinity Tree Project

The honor of the Sustain The Rock award is matched by the beauty of the award design.

The citation from the Arkansas legislature acknowledging the efforts of the Trinity Tree Project is a great honor.

This was also a special recognition received earlier this month as shared by the Kingwood Neighborhood Association. We are so blessed!

Following the 2023 tornado that caused significant damage in Little Rock, Jerry Shurgar and his daughter Page led a reforestation initiative through their church, the Trinity Tree Project, which has planted well over 300 trees in Little Rock so far. Today, the House was proud to recognize Jerry and Page for their tireless efforts to restore the tree canopy and improve our community. Amazing work!

Congratulations to the Trinity Tree Project, Jerry and Page Shurgar, winners of the Sustain The Rock Award! 🥇 🥳🎊 🌳 🌲 well deserved!

The Sustainability Office is excited to announce this year's recipients of the Sustain the Rock Award! Many excellent nominees were considered this year.
The Sustainability Commission chose these champions who bring the community together around seeds and sidewalks; trees and transit; fresh food, and good, old-fashioned fun.
