After a quarter-century, the women at the helm of Arkansas’s gay rodeo are retiring - Arkansas Times Spouses Lisa Smith and Sandy Bidwell, two retired Army vets who run Arkansas’s biannual gay rodeo, plan to step down after this year’s event, held April 25-26 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds.

Very important reminder that THIS FRIDAY is the last day for early registration for Rodeo in the Rock 2026!!! 🤩

We are so very excited to be hosting our biannual gay rodeo this month, and are so thankful to be having contestants from all over the country joining us for our rodeo! 🥳

This rodeo is the only gay rodeo to take place in the Southeastern region of the United States, so do not miss this weekend! 🤪

We are also taking the take to dedicate this post to the extremely sad passing of an incredible member of our association, mentor, competitor, volunteer, royalty, FRIEND: Phillip "Alexis Cole" Blakesley. Phillip was always there to support his friends, and his association. We are so very blessed and grateful to have known such a strong and wonderful person. 🤍
