The Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LRWDB) is, once again, partnering with Global Ties Arkansas to serve as a host site and organization for a young professional visiting the USA. The visit is made possible through the Professional Fellows Program (sponsored by the US Department of State).
Hermine Gasparyan from Armenia will be in Arkansas from June 2-26. She is a project manager and civil society development professional with extensive experience in community development, youth initiatives, and organizational capacity building.
Her goals for her fellowship experience in the United States are to deepen practical expertise in designing and managing community-based and civil society programs that integrate social impact, sustainability, and effective stakeholder engagement.
In addition to her site visit at the LRWDB, Executive Director W. J. Monagle is arranging tours and observation of programs with prominent organizations in Little Rock, which address the needs and issues of its citizens. She will also attend special events that occur during the June timeframe and offer assistance as a volunteer for such occasions.
The LRWDB and its community partners are pleased to be a part of a young professional’s lifelong impression of America in its 250th anniversary year!
