LONG POST ‼️

I woke up at 2 a.m. this morning, and at first, I was extremely irritated. But then I stopped and thought about how many people didn’t get the opportunity to wake up today. I prayed and cried my heart out. I’ve been dealing with a lot lately, and after pouring my heart out and sitting in silence to listen for God’s response, He quickly made me realize that I had lost myself again. My quality time with Him had become less frequent, and of course, the emotional side of me began to ugly cry because He’s so right!

So, I started writing down things I want to begin doing—things I want to accomplish and experience. When I looked at my phone, it was now 5:45 a.m., and time to wake the kids up! Suddenly, the featured photo of the day popped up, and I started crying again. This picture was taken during one of the best times of my life. During that period, I was doing everything I loved. I felt the healthiest I’d ever been—mentally, physically, and emotionally!

To me, that was God showing me what I could look and feel like again if I just put Him first and worked on myself. So, starting today, I’m making a promise to myself: I will not let anything get in the way of spending intentional time with God, and engage in activities that bring me joy. I’m committed to nurturing myself!
