Come support Solid Stance for Unity & Community at our 6th annual Spar-a-thon! Solid Stance provides scholarships for Unity Martial Arts and supports the afterschool programs run by Unity. We are here for our Unity Community! Get a pledge form, collect donations, spar classmates, buy bake sale items, and enjoy pizza--all for a great cause! Eight days and counting!!!

THIS SATURDAY! Join us for a fun night together, find gifts for your loved ones, and marvel at the brilliant Creatives in our community, as we raise funds for Solid Stance programming! A hefty dip in Little Rock's homicide and violent crime numbers mirrors national trends.

🎉The countdown is on! There are just a few hours left to make your year-end gift to Solid Stance for Unity and Community, and we still have quite a way to go to reach our goal. Together, we can continue the King Afterschool Program and contribute to a bright future for folks in our community!

This month Solid Stance was disappointed to learn that funding from the City of Little Rock for the Community Violence Reduction Services has not been renewed. The MLK Elementary Afterschool Program was implemented in 2021 by Unity Martial Arts in partnership with Solid Stance and now formerly, the City of Little Rock. This program has been sustained by city funding, small grants, and community donations. It has been an impactful program for the kids at Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership and Learning Academy, and we don’t want to let it go!

The kids have taken such great strides in their work and dedication, and we don’t want to abandon that effort mid-year. The work put into this program has been hard, but incredibly rewarding. As in previous years, Unity advanced the financing until the funding came in, but this is not sustainable without the City’s contribution.

We at Solid Stance are looking for new grant opportunities that may sustain this program long term, but these take time. It’s up to us to keep this program going, and we can rescue this with your help! Even if it’s just through the end of the school year. Even if it’s just almost to the end of the school year. Help us get these kids their classes!
