“Arkansas as Home” by artist Neal Harrington is on permanent display at Clinton National Airport (LIT) in Little Rock—and it’s a must-see for travelers passing through.
This stunning triptych features three 3.5-foot-by-6-foot birch wood carved panels, each celebrating a distinct region of The Natural State:
“Homegrown” – The mountainous beauty of the Ouachitas and Ozarks
“Down Home” – The rich wetlands that define our landscape
“Home Sweet Home” – Stories from the Delta region of east and southeast Arkansas
A master printmaker, Harrington approached these carvings with the precision of his craft—carving the birch as he would to create prints, then presenting the inked wood itself as the finished work. The result is captivating.
Kudos to Neal Harrington, the team at LIT, and Alliiance for creating a space where travelers can experience the soul of Arkansas.

The new exhibit at STL Terminal 2 includes 2 bodies of work by Tytia Habing. The mixed media works in “They’re Here” are inspired by Habing’s fascination with UFOs, and include her playful interpretations of specific UFO stories. For “Rural Son” Habing includes photographs she started taking when she and her family moved to southern Illinois to live among sprawling corn and bean fields, creating an intimate and captivating record of rural life. On view through April 2026.

Lingering at MSP to gaze at The Aurora. The photos and video don’t fully capture Jen Lewin’s stunning work, especially the subtle color changes based on local weather (warm and breezy today). It was such an honor to get to work with Jen, MSP, the MSP Foundation and Alliiance on this project back in 2019-2021. And a thrill to see it on a travel day.

How do you encourage pedestrians, runners and cyclists to use a new pathway? With an engaging and celebratory public artwork, of course. For Love of Chattanooga, artist Ebony Bolt took inspiration from the people, places and activities that she encountered in the neighborhoods connect by the city’s Walnut Street Bridge and Veterans Bridge. The design consists of four sections organized around riverfront themes: art, nature, recreation, and shopping. Bolt’s colorful collages also include “easter eggs” that celebrate the people, places and culture of the city.

The newest Site See installation – *Break Water* by Nekisha Durrett – reflects on the overlooked narratives of Black lives tied to the Potomac waterfront in Alexandria. The centerpiece evokes the sidewheel of the steamboat the River Queen, a vessel that symbolized Black ownership and opportunity until its mysterious destruction by fire in 1911, shortly after its purchase by Lewis Jefferson, a Black entrepreneur. On view through November.
