Good morning everyone!
Hope you’re all staying warm in this crazy cold weather. I just wanted to share a few quick tips for days like today ..nothing fancy, just a few things that can save you a headache and make the house a little more comfortable.

1️⃣ Whatever you do… DO NOT lower your thermostats at night trying to save a couple bucks. Trust me, a tiny savings can turn into thousands in damage if a pipe freezes. If you have digital thermostats (which most people do), make sure they’re set to HOLD or PERMANENT HOLD ..not temporary.
2️⃣ For anyone with central air:
I added a few pics below these plastic vent covers are awesome. They’re insulated, they stick on with magnets, and they help stop that ice-cold draft that comes from AC ducts in the attic. These are the standard 8x8 size, but they make bigger ones too. Go online or try Amazon..hope fully you can still buy them.

3️⃣ Faucets on outside walls:
If your kitchen or bathroom plumbing sits on an exterior wall and your house isn’t well-insulated, let the faucet drip during this cold spell. It can make the difference between a frozen line and no issues at all. And of course, make sure your outdoor spigots are shut off from the inside if you have valves.
