Sometimes, as riders, we need to overcome mental obstacles and build confidence. Our horses are no different.

Part of good horsemanship is helping our horses work through new and unfamiliar situations. By taking the time to properly desensitize them to different sights, sounds, and experiences, we help them gain confidence and learn to trust us.

Confidence isn’t built in a day for riders or horses. It’s built through patience, consistency, and positive experiences. 💙🐴

I’m so proud of our little show group. Everyone worked so hard, overcame challenges, worked through green horses, and still pulled together as a team.

Showing isn’t always easy, but watching everyone support each other, keep pushing forward, and grow together makes it all worth it. So thankful for this amazing group of riders, horses, and families ❤️

Before starting your lessons at Underhill Stables, there are a few important items every rider will need for safety and comfort in the saddle!

✨ Lesson Dress Code Essentials:
• Certified riding helmet
• Boots with a heel
• Long pants or breeches
• No baggy or slippery clothing
• Long hair tied back

As riders progress, items like half chaps, tall boots, and breeches are strongly recommended for the best riding experience.
