Wildlife Rescue Team Nebraska
WRT is dedicated solely to the rescue and rehabilitation of Nebraska's orphaned wildlife, and its return to its natural habitat.
WRT was founded in 1979 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
This is an example of what our volunteers do. This young raccoon had its head stuck in a peanut butter jar. Please don’t try doing this by yourself call us if you need help with wildlife. We are trained volunteers.

This baby bobcat is about 8 weeks old. He was found alongside a trail close to Calamus Lake near Burrell. He was weak, thin and couldn't hold his head up. He had obviously been without his mother for several days. The first photo is when we got him. The other photos are how he has improved.
Wildlife Rescue Team's monthly meeting is tonight at 7:00 p.m. 22 and Washington St. Lincoln. We meet in the basement of Grace Lutheran church. Hope to see you there.

If anyone wants to donate to our group, that would be wonderful. We are all volunteers and rehab thousands of animals a year. The donation is never too small we appreciate any amount. Thank you!
Please support Wildlife Rescue Team, Inc. during
Give to Lincoln Day on Thursday, May 28!
This a 24-hour opportunity to raise funds for Wildlife Rescue Team, Inc. All donations will be used to care for injured & orphaned wildlife until they are able to be released back into the wild. All work is done by volunteers - donations help to pay for food, supplies and vet care for the animals. Already this year, we have spent thousands of dollars on formula for baby mammals like bunnies, squirrels opossums and raccoons.
Donations begin at midnight on May 28 and end at 11:59 p.m. You don't need to live in town in order to donate. We get donors from across the country! This is a one day event - but they are doing pre-giving now!
Thank you for helping animals like these raccoons survive!

Just to let the public know we try our best to return calls as soon as we can! Please don't get upset with our VOLUNTEERS for not calling back right away. As an example, I have gotten 4 calls just this morning. I have called all 4 people and no one has answered their phones. (I understand we are all busy this time of year with our families, jobs, children, holidays etc.) We will leave you a message and or text and ask you to call us back. We are all doing the best we can. Be safe this holiday weekend.

Speaking the truth!!
Here at Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue, we care deeply about ALL animals, including wildlife. In Nebraska, as well as most states, it is ILLEGAL to trap and relocate a wild mammal more than 100 yards from its original site.
We want to share an important message from our friends who are wildlife rescuers and the challenges they are faced with due to human interference.
Please read:
Each time we get orphaned babies we cry a little on the inside. We know they are here because their mom is either dead or relocated 47 miles away. Frantically searching for her babies throughout danger, anguish, injury and exhaustion.
Think about it… would you give up looking for your children if you were separated… no you wouldn’t. Wildlife love their babies just as much and will die fighting for them!
Mom will never give up looking for them!
Days later homeowners hear her babies crying. It’s too late and there is no way to reunite them because they took mom away days ago. The babies are cold, hungry, scared and dying. They only know what mom has given them and now she’s gone.
I feel for mom and I cry for the babies who lost their mother. We raise these babies to the best of our ability to give them what they need to be wild once again. We pay for their care both with money and time away from our families and jobs.
No one pays us to do this. It costs hundreds of dollars to raise and release each individual wildlife orphan.
DO NOT TRAP AND RELOCATE WILD LIFE!!!
